Experienced Faculties

The Department of Anatomy has experienced professors and young faculties. The experience of the faculties guide the students in their learning process with complete focus and concentration. These faculties with their fresh mind, teaches the students to improve their understanding ability using innovative methods.

Efficient Teaching Methods

The greatest challenge for a teacher is to capture individual student’s attention and to convey ideas effectively and efficiently thereby creating a long lasting impression.

Here in Saveetha we tackle this challenge effectively, by implementing innovative ideas through MILA system which makes the classroom experience much more enjoyable and understandable for the students. Here we adopt the help of modern tools to stimulate creativity. This includes mainly activity based learning and other forms of visual exercises that will involve and excite young minds and capture their interest and encourage creative contributions even from slow learning students.

Elegant Publications & Research Projects

Here in Saveetha Dental College, we stand unique among most of the other dental fraternity in having research projects and its publications apart from regular academic curriculum. The BDS students are trained to publish their research work in SCOPUS indexed journals. They’ll be having a minimum of 20 research publications when they complete their BDS course.

Anatomy is the scientific study of the structure of living things including their systems, organs, and tissues. The discipline of anatomy is subdivided into gross (Macroscopic) anatomy, microscopic anatomy (Histology), developmental anatomy (Embryology). Gross anatomy is the study of structures that are large enough to be seen with the naked eye. It can be studied using both invasive and non-invasive methods with the goal of obtaining information about the structure and organisation of organs and systems. Gross anatomy can be studied in cadavers by dissection or in living person by endoscopy, radiography etc., Histology is the the study of structures with the aid of a microscope. Embryology is the study of prenatal or postnatal developmental changes in an individual. Other branches of anatomy includes comparative anatomy, which relates to the comparison of anatomical structures (both gross and microscopic) in different animals, surface anatomy is the study of deeper part of the body in relation to the skin surface.
